Prague Floorball Cup joins the Czech Floorball initiative "Floorball helps Ukrainians" by providing a link for families with children fleeing the war conflict. Czech Floorball has created an overview page on its website that serves as a signpost for families looking for a suitable way for their children to spend their free time and playing floorball is one of the options for them.
"We contacted the Ukrainian Embassy in Prague with an offer to help with the tournament, but in the end we chose the option of building on the initiative of Czech Floorball, believing in the involvement of other clubs participating in the Prague Floorball Cup. The captain's armbands and badges are just a small sign of support, and the Ukrainian flag will be flying in the final halls," says the main organizer Michael Zelený.
The organisers have prepared special captain's armbands for the players in the colours of the Ukrainian flag, which will be supplied by partner company Braasi, and official PFC Support "badges" in support of Ukraine will be available at the stands for a voluntary donation. Proceeds from their sale will go entirely to the humanitarian organization People in Need. If your club would like to join the Czech Floorball initiative, please contact the PFC organizers who will help you.
